• Used in conjunction with biological indicators to monitor the effectiveness of steam sterilization

Features:

• Purpose: 

• It is used to incubate biological indicator vials, which contain bacterial spores used to verify a sterilizer’s ability to kill microorganisms

• Temperature control: 

• The incubator has a built-in LED display and can be set to different temperatures, typically 37℃, 57℃, or 60℃, depending on the requirements of the specific biological indicators being used

• Design: 

• It is a dry block incubator, meaning it uses heated wells to warm the vials. It features 13 cavities for incubation and one well designed for crushing the internal vial of the biological indicator

• Use: 

• After a biological indicator vial is exposed to a sterilization cycle, the inner ampule is crushed inside the incubator’s well. The vial is then incubated for a set period, and the results are read by checking for a color change in the growth medium
