Description
- Indications:
- Sedation of initially intubated and mechanically ventilated adult patients in an intensive care setting, for a duration not exceeding 24 hours
- Sedation of non-intubated adult patients prior to and/or during surgical and other procedures
- Medication:
- Contains Dexmedetomidine Hydrochloride, an alpha2-adrenergic receptor agonist used for inducing and maintaining sedation in various clinical settings
- Concentration:
- Contains 200 micrograms (mcg) of Dexmedetomidine per 50 milliliters (mL) of 0.9% Sodium Chloride Injection
- Formulation:
- Clear and colorless solution supplied in a Galaxy Plastic Container as a liquid premix, so it’s ready to use and doesn’t require further dilution
- Administration:
- Administered by continuous intravenous infusion using a controlled infusion device
